Well, I tried to recognize elements of Isaac Asimov’s work inserted in the plot of the motion picture “I, Robot” (2004). Here are my findings:
- Little Lost Robot - The story of the robot who hides himself among other identical ones, in the movie Sonny does the same.
- The Evitable Conflict - When the robots start generalizing the 1st law and decide the only way not to “through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm” is to control all humanity. That’s what VIKI does.
- Robot Dreams - LVX-1, a robot with an experimental “fractal positronic brain” gains the ability of dreaming, in its dreams Elvex is the leader of “his people”, the robots. Very similar to Sonny’s ending.
